There are tons of Porschephiles or automotive aficionados who don't necessarily have a thing for Zuffenhausen, who would've loved to get up close and personal with the 2020 911 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Then again, not all of them managed to reach the said venue, which is why we've been keeping an eye out for 992 material to bring to everybody. Well, here we are, delivering a pair of eighth-generation Porsche 911 photos.
The images, which came to us via Instagram (check out the posts at the bottom of the page) were recently snapped in Spain, with the 992 having landed in Mallorca.

As many of you know, the Neunelfer family holds north of twenty derivatives and the first models to follow the Carrera S and Carrera 4S (these are the ones that came to LA) are the base Carrera and the Cabriolet.

These should come to us in the first half of next year, but there's no need to wait, since we've already delivered a rendering of the open-top model.

2019 will also bring us the 992 Porsche 911 Turbo and the 992 Porsche 911 GT3. Prototypes of both toys have been spotted testing with production bodies.

Perhaps the best news came from the GT3 prototypes, whose soundtrack allowed us to notice that the naturally aspirated flat-six and the manual gearbox are here to stay. Then again, the latter will be offered as an option, with the new generation having brought an eight-speed PDK to the game.

As for the Turbo, we're expecting the current TT 3.8-liter boxer to make room for an all-new unit.

While we're talking renders, we'll remind you that we've also featured a pixel play portraying the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Nevertheless, this won't come to the world until 2020 or 2021.

As promised, Porsche will also deliver at least one plug-in hybrid version of the 911, but we might have to wait until the ".2" mid-cycle facelift to receive this.
