The new 2020 model year Acura NSX is only a few months away from the start of deliveries, and customers waiting in line for one just got a big surprise: the carmaker is bringing back the Spa Yellow body color of the 1997 – 2003 variant, but with a modern twist.
The new color is called Indy Yellow Pearl, and it will be shown for the first time in public in a few days at the Monterey Car Week. It is the second color to be offered by the carmaker in the NSX heritage line, alongside the Berlina Black.

According to Acura, this modern interpretation of the Spa Yellow is a tribute to the paint used decades ago on about 20 percent of all the NSX models sold. And also, it looks very cool.

Other than the paint, this new addition to the lineup has no other modifications, and it uses all the improvements made on the range for the 2020 model year.

The car is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that works together with a 9-speed dual-clutch transmission and three electric motors. The engine develops 507 hp and 550 Nm of torque and accelerates to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds.

The model is already available for order, now including the new color, and will begin shipping this fall. The 2020 NSX has a starting price of $157,500.

As a bonus, all new NSX owners will be given a chance to take part in the Insider Experience program, a series of behind-the-scenes tours of the NSX assembly process and of the factory where it is being built. The Heritage Center and the proving grounds where Acura tests the car is also included in the mix.

At the Monterey Car Week, the car will be displayed alongside an NSX GT3 Evo race car wearing a custom livery with yellow and blue accents over the exposed carbon fiber body.
