After it had changed its model nomenclature a couple of times this decade, Infiniti has finally launched the replacement for the G37 Coupe. Coming to a dealership near you early this fall, the all-new 2017 Infiniti Q60 can be had in no less than six flavors.
The lesser model is the Infiniti Q60 2.0t with rear-wheel-drive, which has been priced from $38,950 plus $905 destination. AWD commands $2,000 on top of that, while the Q60 2.0t Premium is $41,300 and $43,300, respectively. Step on up to the Q60 3.0t Premium and the price hikes to $44,300 for RWD and $46,300 for AWD. Is something missing from this picture? Yes, there is.

According to the manufacturer, the 2017 Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400 will be priced at a later date. The most powerful configuration in the Q60 lineup will mirror the Q50 Red Sport 400 as far as the oily bits are concerned: 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, 400 horsepower, and 350 lb-ft (475 Nm) available from just 1,600 rpm all the way to 5,200 rpm.

If, however, you’re interested in the more civilized variants of the Q60, I am the bearer of good news. Buyers who desire to get the car as soon as possible can do so through the Q60 Reservation Program. “We've selected Reservation Program rewards that fit Infiniti owners' lifestyles," declared Randy Parker, VP of Infiniti Americas, referring to a choice of gifts. These include a GoPro action camera, Bose music system, and a Tumi luggage set.

Spec-wise, the entry-level 2.0-liter turbo engine isn’t what you’d call a slouch. With 208 horsepower and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque, the Infiniti Q60 2.0t also happens to be rather generously equipped from the get-go. Highlights include 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, 8-way powered bolstered sports seats, Bluetooth for your mobile phone, RearView Monitor, the lot.

The slightly more expensive 2.0t Premium grade adds more speakers, a Bose Performance audio system, and a power sliding/tilting moonroof.
