One set of pictures showing the Ford GT mule deprived of useless metal parts and ripped enough to make it on the cover of Men's Health was enough to blow our minds. Give us two sets, however, and we want the production model to look like this.
Until now, the Ford GT saga went like this: show-stealing appearance in Detroit followed by another one during Auto Shanghai 2015 and the news that the supercar will only be sold in rigidly limited numbers. Those interested in buying one will, therefore, have to move quick and expect a price tag similar to what Lamborghini is asking for the Aventador: $400,000.

The way Ford approached the engine lineup for the GT took a downward trend if you look at the bigger picture. Since the 1960s, the Blue Oval fitted various small and big-block V8s, then a supercharged 5.4-liter small-block V8, whereas modern times will see the GT pack a twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost.

Which takes us to one detail Ford is still very keen on hiding: how many ponies will the supercar smash on the asphalt. Rumors suggest a figure close to 700 HP, but the official whistle is staying silent at the moment.

Besides the muscle, Ford's GT will also pack serious IQ. The car's brain will use over 50 sensors, 28 microprocessors and six controller network area arrangements.

The spyshots you're about to see were taken by our carparazzi in the United States, but we can't really tell you where. The previous stripped-off prototype had Michigan license plates but visually, the two mules are identical. Also, we could be talking about the same car.
