While Ford is still out there on the highways near Detroit testing the 2016 GT, the Blue Oval isn't shy about showing the non-camouflaged prototypes either. The latest example comes from a presentation held at Ford's Palo Alto research center, where a shiny GT prototype grabbed the attention of everybody around.
We are talking about the annual Ford Trends symposium - during a session on special materials such as carbon fiber, the officials introduced the Ford GT to the attendees.

The supercar was dressed in the Silver-with-Silver stripes attire he have seen before, but these photos, which comes from averagecarguy, remain as tempting as expected.

When will we be able to see one on the street?

The Blue Oval's halo car will arrive in production trim next year, but you'll have to keep a close eye on the car scene to get up close and personal with one.

We are not talking about the $400,000 expected price tag here - your local Cars and Cofee events oftenly display rides of such financial level. Instead, we are referring to the limited production.

Ford Performance has made it clear that only 250 units of the GT will be released for each model year.

Nevertheless, we will get to see the GT's racing incarnation on TV starting with the 2016 season. As Ford said earlier this month during the Le Mans race, the GT racecar, which is being developed with Multimatic Motorsports, will compete in the GTE Pro endurance racing category. Among other, this means it will battle the C7.R (this year's winner).
