We're ready to bet that, if you wake up any Blue Oval employee in the middle of the night and ask him or her anything, the answer will start with "2017 Ford GT" - such is the intensity of the teasing process the automaker is currently delivering for its upcoming halo car.
Of course, such marketing shenanigans have their unofficial rules. So after the racecar incarnation of the new GT delivered a monumental class win at Le Mans on its debut, the time has come for a smaller effort to be thrown our way.

The result comes in the form of the footage below, which shows us the velocity behemoth doing its thing in the wind tunnel - given the fuselage-grade aero the upcoming model packs, we expect engineers to have slept inside the facility throughout the development.

On a more serious note, Ford explains the testing seen here involves an air speed of 125 mph (that's 200 mph, you metric system fans). And while such a number might not seem all that impressive, the clip does offer something that will keep aficionados on their toes, showing that generously-sized rear wing at work.

When the automaker introduced the speed demon at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, the design of the car was over 90 percent complete. The remaining bits had to do with various aerodynamic details, so it's only normal for the company to use the wind tunnel for the final polish of the mph animal.

And with the upcoming GT costing Lamborghini Aventador money, it's enterntaining to see the (justified) difference between the two approaches, with Ford working to keep our attention on its machine and the Raging Bull making efforts to conceal the facelifted V12 machine before its unveiling.

Speaking of teasers, we're expecting Ford to throw in a drifting piece at some point or another. With drifting slowly, but steadily, becoming the norm nowadays, the fresh GT simply has to showcase its sideways abilities. Yes, Ford Performance, we're here, waiting...
