With less than a month until the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe is officially unveiled at the upcoming North American International Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz engineers are still hard at work testing its AMG version on the famed Nurburgring Nordschleife.
Set to sport the same variant of the M157 engine that's found under the hood of the recently-launched S 63 AMG (W222), the S 63 AMG Coupe (C217) seen in the following spy video should have no less than 585 hp (577 bhp) 900 Nm (664 lb ft) of torque.

That amount of torque is obviously to blame for much of the amount of tire screeching we're hearing in the video, even though the test driver is not exactly trying to take it easy on the car either.

What we can't sadly hear or see in the footage is if the pre-production prototype caught by our spies is sporting rear-wheel drive or 4Matic all-wheel drive, with both types of traction reported to be featured on the upcoming model.

The Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG Coupe (C217) is set to be revealed a few months after the unveil of its non-AMG brother, so we're expecting a public launch at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in Spring.
