Porsche just introduced a new ad for the 2015 Cayenne and this tells the story of a corporate player entertaining his colleagues over lunch break with the help of his German SUV.
We see people jumping for joy at the sheer idea that they’ll be driven to lunch in a Cayenne. Heck, a woman even returns to the office meeting in a... dreamy state.
Well, nobody’s going to buy this. In the real world, you can’t even talk to your co-workers like this. And if if you ever floor it with the car full of passengers in the middle of their uptight working scheduler, it will probably be the last ride they make in your vehicle.
The ad may be fake, but the good side here is that the 2015 Cayenne is as real as they get. Earlier this month, we sampled the Cayenne facelift on two separate occasions. The first saw us entering some sort of an efficiency competition, which we won despite being the only team in the competition to use a Cayenne Turbo, while the rest relied on Cayenne S Diesel or Cayenne S models.
19.8 mpg (11.9 liters) after one day of hypermiling against the clock was not a bad result for the current Cayenne range-topper.
We subsequently gave the SUV a proper review, which we’ll publish soon. During the day we spent with a Cayenne S, we discovered the differences the switch from the old naturally-aspirated V8 to a twin-turbo V6 make. As always, the Germans were precise when describing the revamped Cayenne, as the mid-cycle refresh truly expands the abilities of the car.
PS: have you hooned your Porsche today?
