MV Agusta made sure to bring out their latest models at the EICMA 2014. Apart from the high-performance F4RR and the Dragster, the touring bikes they currently build were also included: the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 and the Turismo Veloce 800 Lusso.
Unlike its more luxurious brother, the Lusso, the 800 shows that the house of Varese wants to offer a wider choice for its customers. Recently having signed a deal with Mercedes AMG, the Italian company is introducing new engines at EICMA.
For the Turismo Veloce 800, MV Agusta used a new 3-cylinder 110 HP that has more torque at lower revs, especially compared to its Brutale brother. The fuel consumption has also gone down by 20 percent according to the manufacturer.
You can now choose between 4 different engine maps and adjust the power between 90 and 110 HP. The 90 HP modes are called Touring and Rain while in Sport and Custom, the bike makes 110 horses.
Other parameters can be individually adjusted such as the torque curve, the mode of action of the rev limiter, the throttle sensitivity, the engine brake and the motor response.
Amongst the new features you’ll find the Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System, a new transmission and EAS. The instrument panel evolved to a color TFT 5” screen with Bluetooth as standard. Also, the traction control can be adjusted in eight levels but also completely switched off.
