The third generation of the Mercedes-Benz M-Class was launched back in late 2011, being on the market for over two years now, which means that a mid-cycle facelift is already on the way - as previous spy shots have shown us.
Pre-production prototypes wearing heavy camouflage have been spotted in various places all over Europe, but this is the first time that a facelifted M-Class (W166) has been caught in the United States as well.

This is a bit odd considering the fact that the model is actually built in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The peeps from The Fast Lane Car were recently hunting for such a car in an undisclosed location in the states, and to their surprise discovered a heavily-camouflaged M-Class in a gas station, just as the Mercedes-Benz engineer in charge of it was preparing to leave.

While not many design details on the car are easily spottable, we already know that the M-Class facelift will sport an entirely new front end and side profile, both of which will go inline with the new Mercedes-Benz design philosophy.

We are expecting the production car to be unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, while dealerships should get them in about a year from now.
