In production since 2013, the Aussie-built Holden Commodore VF received a mild update to keep it fresh through next year and competitive against the facelifted Ford Falcon FG X. Mind you, there are very few changes between the outgoing and 2015 model, but they're pretty much welcomed nevertheless.
General Motors Australia's full-size sedan still uses the Zeta platform introduced with the VE, which is virtually untouched for the 2015 model, but Holden engineers recalibrated the electronic power steering system for enhanced "on-centre steering feel and precision." And that's about the only thing they did.

To be completely frank, the 2015MY is mainly about styling enhancements. Starting with a revised exterior color palette, it's worth mentioning two new finishes called Some Like It Hot Red and Jungle Green. So stereotypically Australian, and that's not a verbal pat on the back of Holden's uninspired marketing team.

Sporty variants such as the SS V and SS V Redline also add a glossy black rear valance for added visual drama. Range-topper 2015 Holden Commodore VF SS V Redline is the only variant that comes with them flappy-paddle shifters on the steering wheel if you opt for the optional six-speed automatic tranny.

The model also boasts with standard kit such as a Jet Black cabin or new design 19-inch rollers, while interior titanium trim comes as an option. As for the oily bits, Holden dropped the LPG powertrain for the Commodore SV6, while the rest of the lineup has the same six and eight-pot mills we already know.

Other highlights worth mentioning about the VF SS V Redline are the head-up display, lane change assist feature, ISOFIX anchorage system for child and booster seats, Siri Eyes Free for iPhone users, an 8-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system, as well as automatic park assist.

First deliveries are slated for early 2015 according to Holden Australia.
