If you’re one of our most dedicated readers you probably already noticed that we had the pleasure of reviewing the brand new BMW F16 X6. Served in the M50d guise, the car impressed us from the moment we laid eyes on it, the city scape fitting it like a glove. To be completely honest, it’s hard to imagine it anywhere else.

That doesn’t mean that we didn’t take if off road for a little while. After all, the name of almost all the models in the range include the ‘xDrive’ moniker so it would’ve been a shame not to put the all-wheel drive system to the test. Don’t go thinking that we went in deep waters and over muddy crests with it but we did tackle some roads that have never seen asphalt. Just for the fun of it.

Inside, we were treated with materials worthy of the BMW nameplate. In the past, the brand was more known for its sporty feel rather than luxurious fittings but things changed over time. Now, the X6’s interior feels just right for the segment it is included in and the rivals it will be facing. As standard, M Performance Automobiles, such as the one tested by us, receive sport seats with alcantara all over them and contrasting stitching.

That wasn’t the only thing that tingled our senses in there. The tester was also fitted with the best sound system you can get inside a car these days, built specifically for the X6 by the engineers from Bang&Olufsen. The trouble was, the engineer that did our car must’ve gotten in the holiday spirit a little too soon and messed up some tuning as we felt the sound could’ve been better.

Outside the city the cruiser character of the car reveals itself, showing great stability even at higher speeds. The fact that it was originally developed on 20” wheels shows and you’ll have to be quite crazy to take the car off its preset course, even at high speeds. Compared to the X5, the X6 feels more planted and more agile at times.

So what we have here is a car that is better than its predecessors, offers more luxury inside, more room and has a sporty allure to it, with the looks to match. What is there to fault it for then? Well, nothing much, really. Sure, the price is a little steep and the logic behind choosing this ‘coupe like’ body over the X5 is hard to understand but if you want to make a statement, this is the one SAC to get. Our review will explain everything more clearly. That’s also where you’ll find plenty of 2015 X6 Full HD Wallpapers for your desktop.
