Well, here it is! Toyota has finally released US pricing information for the highly anticipated and redesigned 2014 Corolla. Scheduled to arrive in dealerships this fall, the eleventh-generation compact sedan will have a starting price of $16,800 (not including the $810 destination fee).
As you might recall, the 2014 Corolla will become available in four trim levels, with the aforementioned price tag being attached to the L grade fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox. A four-speed automatic transmission bumps the price to $17,400, which also includes LED headlamps and daytime running lights, Bluetooth connectivity, Whiplash-Injury-Lessening front seats and eight airbags.
Moving on, the “more upmarket” Corolla LE, which wears an $18,300 sticker, offers backup monitor, climate control, cruise control, keyless entry, Entune Audio with 6-inch touchsreen and a CVTi-S transmission. As for the sporty-themed Corolla S, priced form $19,000, standard features include a more aggresive front grille, 17-inch wheels, paddle shifters, sport cluster gauge with TFT meter, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Lastly, the LE Eco trim offers an estimated fuel economy of 42 mpg on the highway(best in class excluding EVs, hybrids and diesels) thanks to its Valvematic-equipped engine and CVTi-S transmission. The Corolla Eco will fetch at least $18,700.
