The list of changes with the 2014 Toyota Corolla is pretty comprehensive and if you take the highest grade with all the goodies, you might actually think it’s not a Corolla anymore.
The sedan’s wheelbase and overall length have been increased and its aerodynamic coefficient has been improved to 0,28. But the biggest change is the visual one – adopting the new Keen Look and Under Priority design, the new Corolla stands out with a bolder front fascia and a stronger rear end. The S grade also comes with a different trapezoidal lower grille to enhance its sportiness.

Driving.ca tested the Corolla S, with the premium package including a power moonroof, 17-inch alloy wheels, SofTex leather interior, back up camera, 6.1-inch infotainment system, auto headlights and more.

They say that “driving the Corolla S feels like you’re driving a small luxury car” due to better sound proofing, smooth power delivery and upscale interior, while the new CVT aided the fuel efficiency for driving around the city, with the reviewers achieving a good 9.4 l/100 km (25 mpg). The only thing to nag about was the power shortage compared to other vehicles in its class, but it still made their favorite tester of the year.
