At this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, Toyota unleashed a vicious Lexus IS F CCS-R on the 12.4 miles of danger.
MotorTrend would have loved to give the F a run on the legendary track to the clouds, but since the racing car was not available, Lexus provided them a much more tamed version - the 2014 IS 350 F Sport.
Unlike the 5-liter V8 kicking 416 hp and 371 lb-ft of torque found under the CCS-R’s hood, the Lexus IS 350 is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine generating 306 hp and 277 lb-ft, which can shoot it from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in a decent 5.5 seconds.
It’s not as fast as the F, but fitted with the F Sport package, the IS 350 comes with a tuned up suspension and an LFA-inspired gauge cluster which sure makes the drive more fun. Check out how it went in the video bellow.
