Czech automaker Skoda has announced that the Rapid will receive enhanced interior details, new xenon headlights and a new diesel engine for the 2014 model year.
Scheduled to go on sale starting August 5, the 2014 Skoda Rapid will greet its customers with a new three-spoke steering wheel, new decorative trims and seat covers and an updated infotainment system. In addition, the xenon headlights will become available as an option on the Rapid as well.

The new 1.6-liter TDI Rapid will become available with either a five-speed manual or a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
