A radical change in Repsol Honda's ranks was announced yesterday, as Dani Pedrosa's advisor Alberto Puig received a new role in the organization and he will be more involved with the Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup.
So far this is the only changed announced by HRC in Dani Pedrosa's team. Puig and Pedrosa go back a long time, as the former has been tracking the Honda rider since the very beginning of his career.

Puig will therefore stop being at Pedrosa's side at every race, but Pedrosa says things will be alright: "I feel that he has already given me so much that now it is time to change our relationship slightly. Anyway, I know that Alberto will be there for me if I need something, and this is the most important thing." Now, he obviously could not put things other way, even though we can presume he was not exactly happy to learn about the change.

Alberto Puig has also worked with Casey Stoner, Julian Simon, Bradley Smith, Joan Lascorz, and Leon Camier and by moving him closer to the Asian young racing environment, HRC is most likely looking to keep a closer eye on future riders, as well as understand better the marketing strategies they have to set in motion for expanding the operations in that part of the world.
