The Australian-built 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan just made it to US shores, and it didn’t take too long for the guys over at Hennessey Performance to grab one and bring it to their shop in Texas.
This can mean only one thing - Hennessey wants to squeeze more horsepower out of that V8 mill. The sedan’s factory 415 HP and 415 lb-ft of torque might be enough for most people, but not for Hennessey, who won’t be happy unless this rebadged Holden churns at least 500 horsepower.

The Texans are probably already working on the sedan as we speak, but before getting down to business they took the SS for a dyno “drive”. The stock vehicle pulled 359 HP and 367 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels, which seems about right based on its specs.

Hennessey Performance has yet to reveal details about their tweaked SS, but says we should check back soon for more American horsepower! And that’s what we’ll do, so make sure you stick around for an update. Meanwhile, scroll below to hear the SS purr.
