South Africa is the latest region to benefit from the long awaited, exquisite 2014 Lexus IS.
The updated Lexus IS throws the gauntlet in front of its main German rivals, coming with its new sharp and original design, luxurious interior and updated performance.
However, Lexus will offer only the IS 350 model to the South African market, powered by the 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine producing 228 kW (305 hp) and 375 Nm of torque, all going to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Inside, there will be three choices of smooth leather color schemes - black, ivory and dark rose (F Sport only) along with the silver metallic trimming. The F Sport package adds the LFA-inspired instrument cluster, sport seats, fine perforated leather, aluminum pedals and scuff plates, as well as two extra gearbox modes - Sport S and Sport S+ which greatly reduce the body roll and makes the IS more sharper in the corners.
