“If you want to make a stand, then it’s time to take a seat”, is Holden Special Vehicles’ (HSV) motto for its new Gen-F lineup. And if we would have to pick only one vehicle from the pack, that would be the GTS version.
And that's because high-performance might be an understatement when it comes to the range-topping 2014 Gen-F vehicle. Powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8 engine, same as the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, the GTS provides no less than 585 HP and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque, being the fastest HSV ever produced.
Equipped with the company’s “Performance Body Design”, the GTS sports several standard features, including HSV LED tail lamps, daytime running lights, projector headlamps, quad exhaust outlets with “Shadow Chrome” timp, HSV side skirts and “Super-Flow Performance” spoiler.
Also, HSV’s flagship vehicle also comes with AP cross-drilled brake discs, forged 6-piston calipers, “Blade” forged alloy wheels in “Satin Graphite”, and fender vents/side mirrors with “Pitch Black accenting”.
Unlike the rest of the new Gen-F lineup, which is set to go on sale next month, the GTS version is set to hit dealerships in September.
