2014 edition of the famous rally Gumball 3000 starts on Thursday so most of the participants are on their last step in getting their cars ready. Usually one of the best cars race at the rally, but it seems this year people will also experience some rather strange customized cars, like Deadmau5’s Ferrari 458 Italia wrapped in a Nyan cat wrap or The Hoff’s KITT.
For the few out there that didn’t know, we’ll remind you that this year’s Gumball 3000 starts on the 5th of June, at 10 am, at the famous Ocean Drive, in Miami, and will end in Ibiza, via Atlanta, New York, Edinburgh, London, Paris and Barcelona.

This year’s edition of the famous rally will host exclusivist crazy cars such as Team 52’s Mercedes SLS Black Series, which they customized adding some Renntech grunt. It is supposed to be noticed by anyone on the side to witness it, so we can't wait for that one to run on the track.

Moreover, according to the organizers, a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder driven by two hot and charming Russian women and a McLaren P1 will also take part of the race. Now that sounds even better, come to think about it.

However, while we’ll be looking at supercars waiting the flag to drop, we’ll also we be seeing some awkward ones. One of these examples is probably Deadmau5’s Ferrari 458 Italia. The Canadian DJ has turned his beautiful Cavallino Rampante into a Nyan Cat dressed-in blue car. He had specially wrapped his supercar for the race, in February, making the sports car look more like a kids car, if you ask us.

Another interesting appearance announced for the rally is also Mitch Buchanon’s original Kitt, the car the Hollywood star was driving in the Knight Rider Series. Having participated in the Gumball rally every year since 2008, according to the organizers, he is one of the most recognizable entrants. This year he is allegedly driving the famous black car, becoming a pretty good match to Deadmau5’s ride.

As to the flag drop, we’d like to tell you who will be the first in line, but that’s not yet decided. In case you didn’t find out, the rules are that all teams are invited to donate to the Gumball 3000 Foundation and the one that raises the most money will be placed in the prestigious pole position with the following top 10 placed behind. So far, the Scottish Team 17 seems to be taking the lead with a current total grid of £15,124 ($25,313). They are driving a 2009 Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe.
