A unique 2014 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet prototype crossed the block in Las Vegas this weekend, selling for USD200,000, with all proceeds to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The race-ready, Fiery Orange-painted Cobra Mustang is powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine mated to a T4 racing transmission, and sports a 9-inch rear end, 3-link rear suspension, wheelie bar, Recaro race seats, NHRA compliant roll cage and many more.
Besides taking home this mean-looking factory dragster, the winning bidder will also benefit training at Roy Hill’s Drag Racing School, a tour of Ford Product Development and Ford Design Studios, as well as a video of the Cobra Jet’s build process.
As a reminder, the 2014 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet, the last such factory dragster based on the fifth-generation pony, is built in only 50 examples and sold starting from $97,990 each.
