Shelby American has announced they will donate and install a 2014 Shelby GT500 Super Snake performance package to be auctioned off to raise funds for cancer research through the American Cancer Society.
The package will be sold during the 40th Anniversary of the famous Cattle Baron’s Ball on October 5 at the Southfork Ranch in Parker, Texas, with the winning bidder to have the Super Snake package fitted on a Shelby GT500 base provided by North Texas Ford Dealers.
The winner will get to customize the styling of his new Super Snake package and have it built to spec by Shelby American, who will make sure the musclecar will leave their shop with no less than 662 horsepower under the bonnet.
“Supporting philanthropies is a core value that Carroll ingrained into Shelby American’s DNA over the past five decades,” said John Luft, president of Shelby American. “Since one of this year’s Cattle Baron’s Ball co-chairs, Brooke Shelby, is the wife of Carroll’s eldest grandson, Aaron, the event is a perfect opportunity to leverage a new Shelby GT500 Super Snake to raise funds for cancer research.”a
