The 2014 Ford Focus, the world’s top-selling vehicle nameplate through the first three quarters of 2013, has maintained its top marks in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s safety rating program.
Both the Ford Focus sedan and hatchback models, as well as the electric version of the vehicle all earned five-star overall vehicle scores in NHTSA’s new car assessment program.
According to Ford, the car’s standard AdvanceTrac electronic stability control and anti-lock brakes played a key role in obtaining the agency’s top safety marks once again.
As a brief reminder, the 2014 Ford Focus sedan starts from $16,810 in the United States, while the hatchback version can be had for at least $18,625. The Focus Electric, on the other hand, is priced from $35,170.
