The Ford Fiesta ST spells good news if you’re not a Ford fan yet. That’s because the hot Ford that has never been available before in the US is making its way to US shores. The big news is that, unlike what previous statements suggested, the Fiesta ST will go on sale next year with almost 200 horsepower.
To be more precise, the same 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine you get in a 2013 Escape has been tuned by SVT engineers to make 197 horsepower and 214 pound-feet of twisting force. The Fiesta ST will arrive with a new front end design, sporty colors and a well equipped interior. Given the light weight of the car, we’d say it’s going to be a true performer, but also quite economical.
Give the excellent Focus ST already starts at $23,700, this hot subcompact hatchback will likely cost $22,000 or there about. We’d say the Abarth 500 is in some serious trouble!
Out of the three videos below, we’d definitely recommend the second one, where the ST makes its appearance from under Ken Block’s smoke. It’s pretty awesome if you’re into hooning!
