The Ford stand at the 2012 Australian International Motor Show in Sydney was packed with interesting new cars, such as the EcoSport sub-compact SUV and the new Mondeo sedan. However, fans of the blue oval were surprised by something a little bigger.
A teaser for the 2014 Ford Falson magically appeared on the screen, signaling that full-sized sedan lovers will have at least one more generation of this iconic Australian product.
The eight generation Falcon will be the only four-cylinder EcoBoost powered car with rear-wheel drive. That’s the main feature we’re sure sure of, but we don’t know if it’s the the 2.0-liter or a new unit.
"We're really excited about the Falcon, and what it represents to our portfolio. And we think given our recent announcement about investment in January that it is important that we show people where we are heading with Falcon," said Ford Australia CEO Bob Graziano.
