New Corvette versus slightly older American muscle. Who will win out in the end? There's no question the C7 looks fast, but is it really all that people say it is?
This quick clip from Stingray owner BadBowtie shows him racing a friend's 2014 Ford Mustang GT500. The disparity on paper is really bad, but the outcome is surprising.

Thanks to a lighter chassis, the Corvette is much quicker off the line than the super-pony. Only at 120 mph (according to the driver) does the supercharged Ford get the legs on its.

For the record, the 650 hp and 813 Nm of torque (600 lb-ft). That's about 200 hp more than the Chevy. Just goes to show what a purpose-built sportscar.

As a little bonus, we also found a video of the very same Corvette, doing a celebratory burnout. Check it out below!
