The folks over at Late Model Racecraft are getting busy with modifying the brand new 2014 Corvette Stingray and last month they came up with the first C7 Vette to run a 9-second quarter mile. Actually it was closer to the 10s at 9.99 seconds and 132 mph, but it was still more than two seconds faster than the stock Stingray with a manual gearbox.
LMR didn’t say a word about the number of horses squeezed under the hood for that spectacular quarter mile run, but they’ve returned with another modded Corvette that packs 526 HP. There’s no drag strip action, but Chevy’s brand new halo car is being put to work on the dyno.
The best part is that the new heads and cam fitted by Late Model Racecraft turned the Corvette into a rumbling beast. It makes us enjoy the idling part of the video more than the dyno pull itself.
