The guys over at EKanoo Racing saw the Toyota GT 86 and said “Hmm, nice shapes... But needs more power!” So the economically balanced 2-liter Boxer engine was dropped and an oldschool 3-liter 2JZ engine straight from a Supra took its place.
But then, the stock 2JZ was not even nearly close to the amount of power EKanoo were imagining for the sleek coupe. So, the stock block received a lot of goodies, including a custom cylinder head, custom cams, Hyper Tuner intake, Precision turbo, an AEM ECU and more.
According to its latest dyno run, the GT 86 puts down 1147 hp and 852 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels. Despite the huge amount of power, it still looks clean and inconspicuous. The guys say it’s totally street legal and the interior remained fully functional. So beware if it stops next to you at a red light.
