Chevrolet today offered us a peak at what’s under the covers hidden at the New York International Auto Show. When it get underway on April 4th, we will finally know to see what the brand new Chevrolet Impala sedan looks like.
Right now, cosmetic details are scarce, but the new Impala that’s based on a stretched Epsilon II platform (same as the Cadillac ATS) is surely going to be a far better sedan than the current generation.
Though the news is not official yet, Chevrolet will likely offer the new Impala both as a front and as an all-wheel drive model. The XTS will likely donate some of its parts as well, not to mention a V6 and turbo four-cylinder.
“The momentum at Chevrolet continues to build with the debut of the 10th generation of the Impala, one of the brand’s most enduring and cherished nameplates,” commented Chris Perry, vice president of Global Chevrolet Marketing.
“The new Impala further strengthens Chevrolet’s passenger car lineup by giving consumers a full-size sedan that balances the desire for distinction with engaging driving dynamics,” he adds.
