The brand new BMW X5 has a wide range of new functions that might be confusing at first, especially for a newcomer to the Bavarian brand. For someone who used an X5 before, they might be easier to comprehend.
In this regard, BMW USA posted a couple of videos on their official Youtube channel, meant to introduce the users to the new X5. One of the new features on the F15 model is the Intelligent Safety Button.

For people used to BMW dashboards, it replaces the lock button located under the hazard button, and gives the driver the ability to toggle a variety of safety systems on or off. Such systems include Frontal Collision Warning, Pedestrian Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Active Blindspot Detection.

Pressing the Intelligent Safety Button will immediately change the iDrive screen's menu to the safety systems your car has thus allowing you to choose which one to activate or not. For more details, check the video below.
