Bentley’s updated Continental GT Speed, which now delivers even more power thanks to its tweaked 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine, has been introduced at the Geneva Motor Show.
Described as “the ultimate expression of the modern Bentley grand tourer”, the 2014 Continental GT Speed is motivated by 626 bhp (467 kW) and a record 820 Nm of torque, which enables the coupe version to reach a top speed of 206 miles per hour (331 km/h), making it the fastest production Bentley to date.

The convertible model, on the other hand, is a little bit slower at 203 miles per hour (327 km/h), but it’s still among the fastest drop tops one can buy.

Since a new vehicle need more than an updated engine, the 2014 Continental GT Speed sports some exterior modifications as well, including a new front splitter, side skirts and an “elegant rear diffuser of the Mulliner Styling Specification, all finished to match the body paint.

There’s also a set of newly-designed 21-inch Speed wheels, red brake calipers and “Speed” badges fitted to the front fenders. The luxurious cabin wasn’t forgotten and features a completely new and exclusive “colour split” besides contrasting colors applied to the doors, rear panels and console.

“This one car effortlessly combines immense, dramatic levels of performance with the exemplary standards of luxury, individuality and refinement our company is renowned for,” Dr. Wolfgang Schreiber, chairman and chief executive of Bentley Motors, commented when the car was introduced. And we have to agree with him!
