An awesome piece of news comes from Varese, Italy, as MV Agusta announces a sizzling hot Open Days event at the end of March. The Brutale 800 Dragster Open Days weekend will take place March 28-29 at select MV Agusta dealers across Europe.
The dealers will introduce the new naked bike and on-road tests will also be conducted, the Italian manufacturer informs. Willing motorcyclists are prompted to check with MVAgusta’s dedicated website for more information on the participating dealers, generic conditions which apply to this special event and eligibility.
MV Agusta’s new 800 Dragster was derived from the Brutale naked streetfighter, with engineering focused on responsiveness and flawless handling, on both road and race track. The cassette-type 6-speed gearbox was designed with aggressive, sporty performance in mind, and geared to provide an adrenaline overdose in almost any scenario.
The naked machine is also equipped with MV Agusta’s MVICS (Motor and Vehicle Integrated Control System) which allows riders to control the power and torque deployment with no less than 4 mappings. Three of these 4 injection-ignition mappings are predefined by the manufacturer, with the last one being rider-customizable within certain established limits.
Particular parameters, such as engine response, rev limiter, engine torque response, throttle sensitivity and engine braking can be individually set up. The MVICS works in conjunction with the 8-level Traction Control system, a feature which can also be disengaged by the rider.
Available in either white or matte silver grey, the MV Agusta Brutale 800 Dragster comes readily equipped with ABS in standard trim. The announced price is €13,490 ($18,550), with small variations possible due to each country’s import duties, on-road taxes and so on.
