Special editions are the bread and butter of expensive compact cars like the MINI or VW Beetle, and this became abundantly clear today. It’s only been a week since the new Beetle Cabriolet went on sale in Germany, but already they’ve announced something different. It’s called the "Exclusive" and its a package that’s been developed by Volkswagen R GmbH.
The packages are available with the coupe as well and are available i two versions, the base “Sport” line and the higher “Design”.

The Beetle has been fitted with new 18-inch inch alloy wheels or optionally with 19-inch ones. The interior is what really sets it apart: quilted leather trim in three colors: Pepper Beige, Amber Brown or pure Black.

There’s also stainless door sills, leather steering wheel and gearshift knob and door cards covered in fake leather.

Prices in Germany start at €22,650 for the coupe with a 1.2 or €26,775 for the Cabriolet Exclusive Design with a 1.2 TSI.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
