Porsche has just announced that their sporty new Cayenne GTS will go on sale in the US marketplace starting in August, with prices to start at $82,050, not including a $975 delivery charge.
The sports SUV with a love of tarmac will be powered by a 4.8-liter V8 that now develops 414 hp (420 PS). This is mated to an eight-speed Tip-tronic S automatic transmission with an integrated auto start/stop and paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.
This is enough for a sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 162 mph (261 km/h).
The GTS featured a stiffer suspension setup that also brings the SUV 24 mm (near as makes no difference one inch) to the ground.
Esthetically, the GTS differs from the S through its new 20-inch RS wheels, distinctive colors availability (Peridot Metallic and Carmine Red), and high-gloss chrome trim.
