Ahead of the vehicle’s world debut at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show, German automaker Porsche has unveiled the sportiest naturally aspirated Cayenne model yet. We’re talking about the 2013 Cayenne GTS, an evolution of the last generation model with the same name and of the current Cayenne S.
The new GTS’ party trick is its engine, a revised version of the 4.8-liter V8 engine now makes 420 horsepower, which is 15 more than the old GTS and 20 more than the regular Cayenne S. Power is sent to the road via an eight-speed Tiptronic S with integrated auto start/stop function.

Both the engine and transmission have been tuned for enhanced sportiness. The Cayenne GTS is relatively fast for a car its size, reaching 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.7 seconds on its way to its top speed of 261 km/h (162 mph).

The chassis of the Cayenne has been re-tuned and honed on the track to make it into the GTS, which sits 24 mm closer to the ground than the ‘S’.

As standard, the car features wider wheelarches, a nose stolen from the Cayenne Turbo and sporty trim both inside and out.

The Cayenne GTS will be available in Europe starting in July 2012, with prices in Germany set to start at €90,774 including tax.
