Is Yellow a good color for a Porsche 911 Carrrera S? Probably no, but this is our favorite 911 Cabrio design ever, more elongated and sporty than ever before. It’s nice to see that Porsche has never compromised by adding huge wings or bulging arches to the car. This is design by engineering.
This special car is the all-new 991 generation of the iconic 911. It was spotted near Stuttgart, Germany by DrGumoLunatic.
The Carrera S version you see here is offered with a 3.8-liter flat-six producing 400 PS and coupled to either the standard seven-speed manual gearbox or Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) double-clutch transmission.
The manual will get you from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 301 km/h (187 mph). Meanwhile, the PDK is a bit faster, reaching the first 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
Although you can’t see it, the all-new 911 Cabriolet uses a semi-rigid roof design to create the iconic 911 roofline in the drop-top version.
