Nissan has just announced that the new 2013 Altima sedan, which has also started rolling off the line in Mississippi is ready to start hitting the dealer’s lots.
“This is a huge day for the Nissan brand as we ramp up production and begin shipping the new, fuel-efficient Altimas to our dealers,” said Bill Krueger, vice chairman, Nissan Americas. “The new Altima is a game-changer for the mid-size market and our dealers can’t wait to share it with our customers.”

The car’s main playing cards to wow customers into buying one is the fact that it will reportedly do 38 mpg highway thanks to improvements made to the CVT gearbox and the engine, while also being significantly more styling than the old fourth-generation model.

And despite only coming with a 182 horsepower 2.5-liter QR25 Nissan engine, the base car is an attractive buying proposition thanks to its starting price of just $21,500.
