Dani Pedrosa wins the 4th stage of the 2013 MotoGP champioship, after a hard and difficult race in France, at Le Mans. For the second time in a row, the Le Mans race was a wet one, with the track drying up a bit and causing even more grip-related difficulties for the riders.
After having crashed in qualifying, Pedrosa was a bit more calculated and preferred to keep out of trouble, working his way to the top place by place. The Le Mans race brought several surprises, such as the amazing 2nd place for Yamaha Tech3 rider Cal Crutchlow, riding with a broken shin bone and in immense pain.

Another interesting thing at Le Mans was seeing the Ducati factory bikes seizing positions 4 and 5, just behind Marc Marquez, who is on the podium for the 4th time this season. Reigning champion Jorge Lorenzo finished the race in the 7th place, behind CRT rider Alvaro Bautista, and claims rear tire problems.

Even though the setup from the warmup showed good results, he went on a lap with the race tire and felt quite bad, but wrongly assumed it was because of the settings for the initial tire. Instead of using the first tire, Lorenzo went into the race with the wrong one and declared that he was almost afraid.

Rossi finished in position 12 after crashing in a duel with Hayden; however, he managed to be back on his bike and even get some 4 points. The current leader is Dani Pedrosa with 83 points, Marquez 6 points down, Lorenzo with 66, Crutchlow 55 and Rossi 47.
