Following his crash during the Silverstone Warm-Up session, Cal Crutchlow oscillated between getting a surgery or not, but good news come from him: a surgery is not needed so he will be back in Misano next week.
Cal Crutchlow's right forearm was severely swollen and draining the accumulated fluid via surgery seemed to be the best way to fix things. However, Cal flew back to his native Isle of Man and had a medical check there.
According to GP Inside, doctors said a surgery was not mandatory, even though his forearm is still swollen up. The Tech3 Yamaha rider has good prospects of regaining both normal dimensions of his foream and full strength for the next MotoGP round in San Marino, September 18.
Crutchlow had three pre-race crashes at Silverstone, but managed to race and finish in the 7 position. The Isle of Man rider now sits 5th in the world standing, with 136 points, 20 points behind Valentino Rossi.
