Unveiled at the 2012 New York Auto Show, the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK250 Bluetec is finally available on the US market with prices starting from $38,590 plus $905 destination and handling fee.
$1,500 more expensive than the base gasoline V6-powered version, the diesel GLK sports a turbocharged 2.1-liter four-cylinder mill that’s good for 200 HP and 369 lb-ft of torque. According to the German company, the new small crossover SUV returns 24 mpg city and 33 mpg highway, way better that the GLK350’s 19 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.

These are however just EPA estimates which aren’t available on the agency’s website yet. Moving on, the GLK250 comes with the 4Matic all-wheel drive system as standard, which makes it cheaper than the GLK350, that offers this feature as a $2,000 option.

If you’re interested in Mercedes’ latest crossover or you just want to have a little fun, the Germans have also uploaded the vehicle’s configurator, which can be accessed here.
