After seeing some spy shots with the two trucks being tested in cold weather earlier this month, Mercedes has officially unveiled the Unimog and Econic models.
The two work-horses are coming with some modern features and Euro 6 compliant diesel engines aded to the lineup.

Among the new features, Mercedes’ Unimog now has LED daytime running lights that completes the prominent front grille and new windscreen wipers repositioned above the window to improve visibility. Inside the cabin you will find a larger instrument cluster, optimized controls, a better heating and cooling system, a front camera monitor and a joystick. Power comes from Euro 6 compliant four and six-cylinder diesel engines, with power ranging from 156 hp to 354 hp.

The Econic model gains a new front grille with LED daylight running lights and stronger bumpers. Inside it has additional sound insulator materials, a new steering wheel and more storage compartments. The truck is available with a 7.7-liter diesel engine producing 299 or 354 horsepower.

The two trucks will go on sale later this year, as they will enter production in September.
