Lexus has recently introduced the 2013 ES model in the Malaysian range, following to go on sale soon.
The Malaysian-spec Lexus ES will be offered in three grades - ES 250, ES 250 Luxury and ES 300h hybrid. The first two are powered by a 2.5-liter Dual VVT-i four-cylinder engine producing 181 hp and 235 Nm of torque, mated to a Super ECT six-speed automatic gearbox that allows the luxury sedan to reach 0 - 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 10 seconds. The ES 300h is powered by a single VVT-i Atkinson four-cylinder 2.5-liter engine aided by an electric motor, producing 202 hp in total. Connected to an eCVT transmission, the hybrid power plant pushes the car to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds.
The base model ES 250 is priced at RM259,800 and features key elements like LED daytime running lights, auto adjustable heated side mirrors with puddle lamps, smart entry system, sunroof, wood and leather trimmings, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, three-zone climate control, Lexus Premium Audio system with 8 speakers and more.
For extra features, you can get the ES 250 Luxury model for RM279,800, which adds HID headlamps, LED front fog lamps and driving lights, electrically adjustable steering wheel with memory, navigation, manual side door window sunshade and semi-Aniline leather seats.
If you want both style an low fuel consumption, you can opt for the RM353,000 ES 300h that comes with all the features from the Luxury model plus the Hill-Start Assist Control.
