Toyota has recently launched the all-new Camry Hybrid on the Indian market, where it will be priced at Rs 29.75 lakh and it will be the first ever hybrid vehicle to be locally manufactured.
"The Camry Hybrid is India's first locally manufactured hybrid vehicle...It is our endeavour to offer the best vehicles with most advanced technology to India. Toyota is a pioneer in hybrid technology and thus we were very keen to manufacture the all New Camry Hybrid in India as well. This is in line with Toyota's global philosophy to encourage the use of hybrid vehicles across the globe, for a greener tomorrow." said Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) managing director and chief executive Hiroshi Nakagawa.
The all new Toyota Camry Hybrid houses the Hybrid Synergy Drive powertrain, that uses a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor. The setup allows the vehicle to achieve a fuel economy of 19.16 km/l (5.2 l/100, 45 mpg)
