The Penang government in George Town, Malaysia, is reportedly replacing 15 official cars on its fleet with new Toyota Camry units.
Until now, their fleet was consisting of Mercedes-Benz and Proton Perdana units to chauffeur the officials around, which have been in use for an average of 15 years.

However, during a press conference at Kotamar, state finance officer Datuk Mokhtar Mohd said that the actual fleet was a real money-eater due to reliability and repair costs.

So, wanting not to deal with reliability issues, the fleet will replace 15 vehicles with brand new Toyota Camry sedans.

The oldest car in the fleet now is a 21-year-old Mercedes-Benz 200E that is now used to chauffeur the state executive councilor Chow Kon Yeow.
