The hyper around their Paris Motor Show debut has gone away, but Lamborghini realized they didn’t who what the 2013 model year Spyder will look like. Since this is an important chunk of their sales, the problem has been rectified with a batch of photos showing the Santa'Agata Bolognese one and only drop-top right now.
The changes for the Spyder mirror those made to the coupe. The engine remains untouched, a 560 PS (553 hp) and 540 Nm (397 lb-ft) V10 unit. However, the cosmetics have once again been addressed.
Both the front and rear bumpers are new, featuring triangular shapes and different blades to make the Gallardo look more like an Aventador. Also new are these 19-inch “Apollo polished” alloy wheels.
Overall, the changes aren’t that radical but should be enough to carry this V10 supercar through about two more years of production. In about nine years, Lamborghini has produced more than 13,000 units of the Gallardo. But given the state of the European economy which is still their main market, development of the replacement has likely been pushed back.
