2013 EICMA: 2014 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800, the Sleek Sporty Tourer

MV Agusta unveils their all-new sport-touring bike Turismo Veloce 800, a rather uncanny presence in the Varese manufacturer's line-up, but definitely a most welcome addition.

We kind of hoped until the last minute that MV Agusta would surface a bike which will be more trail-oriented, as funny as this may sound. The new machine is more of a road-touring bike, thus remaining faithful to the tradition of the brand.

The design cues are as sporty as they get, with both lines and the low triple exhaust screaming the racing heritage of the Italian brand.

ABS is standard and so are the MVICS 2.0 electronics, a nifty import from the line of premium sport bikes. This means 4 mappings, traction control, ride by wire and quickshifter. The quickshifter also work on downshifting and the electronics are msking sure the bike works smoothly in any scenario.

The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 will be offered in two versions, but both deliver the same 125HP @11,600 rpm and 84 Nm (62 ft-lbs) @ 8,600 rpm. The Silver one comes with Marzocchi front suspensions and Sachs rear ones, while the superior red-silver model hass full semi-active Sachs suspensions.
