American automaker Dodge has finally started the process of revealing their brand new compact sedan based on a Fiat Group platform today, releasing a whole bunch of teaser images showing features like the front end (grille and headlights), rear bumper and tailgate.
The car is to be known officially as the 2013 Dodge Dart and will be slowly teased, bit by bit, until the full reveal takes place early next year at the 2012 North American Motor Show in Detroit.
The Dart is supposed to be a compact sedan that will significantly bolster Dodge’s sale, since such a model has been missing from the lineup for some time now. The car is based on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, so you can be sure its front-wheel drive. It will be powered by a choice of three engines, a new Tigershark 16-valve 2.0-liter engine, a 16-valve 1.4-liter MultiAir Intercooled Turbo engine, and a new Tigershark 16-valve 2.4-liter MultiAir four cylinder engine.
