2013 Chevy Traverse TV Commercial: Imaginary Friends

There's always been a disconnect between the money-hungry corporate world and the reality of actually buying a car for your family. Of course, that's where the marketing wizards come in, creating ever more interesting ads to wow people and bring them into dealerships.
Chevrolet's ad men have skilfully described the 2013 Traverse as a "reimagined" vehicle, bringing us into the world of a little girl where all her stuffed animals are turn into animate imaginary friends.

Like any semi-misbehaving child would, she sleeps, plays and even eats with her dolls and animals. And of course, her imaginary friends need to have their own seats, so the 2013 Traverse and its eight-seater configuration is just great.

After watching the ad a good dozen times, we still find it very creepy. That cat monster looks like it wants to kill you while you're asleep, and why is that turtle wearing a one-piece bathing suit. Did it steal it from the little girl while she wasn't looking?

And if you're scratching your eyes, thinking the commercial is a little bit trippy, don't! Just look at what the blue bear is wearing. And he has the munchies for cereal!

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
