Cadillac might not have a stellar track record in recent years, but they are part of GM’s global ambitions, which could bring the luxury brand to as far a market as China. Probably the most important car coming our way from the Americans is the ATS, which will debut next year in its sedan form, but will eventually spawn coupe and convertible versions.
The ATS is built to be a rival for the BMW 3-Series, and it can’t take on the 3er if it doesn’t have the proper engines. Ironically, the new M3 was revealed to have a turbocharged V6 after we learned of the ATS-V coming with a 380 horsepower twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6.

Now, GM Inside News reports that the car will also pack a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. Ironically, there’s a good chance it will pack 270 horsepower, like in the Buick application, which is more than BMW’s 240 hp or so (market dependent).

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
